well...this is my first post... so to celebrate, i've decided to share with you people a quote from the book Dark Tide I: Onslaught from the series Star Wars: The New Jedi Order, written by Michael A. Stackpole.

"And despair is of the dark side." Mara nodded slightly. "I understand Master Skywalker."

Luke shook his head. "You know what I mean."

"I do, Luke, and I know why you warn me that way. Your empathy and caution............."

read the book yourself to find out the rest of the dialogue. anyway, give the bolded statements some thoughts. the Jedi rarely teach the wrong things. i'll probably share with you some more excerpts from Star Wars novels that i think i should, of course as i progress further into the books.
